Alban Eilir 2024

March 23,  11:00am – 3:00pm

Moved to rain date: March 30!

Bartram’s Garden
5400 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19143

Come and sit, stay a while, and listen —or maybe even tell a tale or two yourself— as we enjoy an afternoon of laughter, music, and companionship! Alban Eilir is ROG’s celebration of the spring equinox, a time of rebirth: The trees have buds on them, the crocuses and daffodils are blooming, and the thaw is in full swing. Day and night have reached parity, and life is returning from its long winter sleep.

We’ll be meeting at Bartram’s Garden for a potluck picnic. There’s a contest and prize for best finger food, so bring along scones or rolls, deviled eggs, your favorite fresh seasonal fruits and veggies, tiny tea sandwiches… Whatever you love best! Gluten-free and/or vegetarian appreciated. We’ll also have ritual, of course, and a candle-making activity.

There are some picnic tables at the location, but we can’t guarantee we’ll get them. We recommend bringing blankets or camp chairs, especially if you’ll need to sit. Bartram’s Gardens is accessible to visitors with limited steps, but not particularly wheelchair accessible.

Happy spring, everyone!

Rain date March 30.
